Call for Proposals: RECP Assessments in selected Industrial Parks/Zones in Uzbekistan

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) invites qualified consulting firms and organizations to submit proposals for provision of services to carry out Resource Efficiency And Cleaner Production (RECP) assessments in selected industrial parks/zones in Uzbekistan (RFP No. 7000008655).  


This assignment is part of UNIDO’s ongoing efforts to support the transformation of three industrial zones in Uzbekistan towards more sustainable, resource-efficient and competitive models of industrial development. Through RECP assessments, the selected service provider will support the identification of practical opportunities for enterprises and industrial zones to improve energy, water and material efficiency, reduce waste and emissions, and strengthen economic and environmental performance.  


The opportunity is relevant for qualified consulting companies, technical service providers, research institutions and organizations with proven experience in resource efficiency, cleaner production, industrial environmental assessments, energy and water efficiency, waste minimization, industrial sustainability, and related fields.

The Uzbekistan Eco-Industrial Parks Pilot Initiative (Phase II, 2026–2027) is part of the broader project “Private Sector Development and Economic Policy Advice in Uzbekistan”, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Uzbekistan. The initiative is carried out by United Nations Industrial Development Organisation with the support from the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.
